DESIGN: The Cranes designed in accordance with IS-807 & IS-3177 code of practice for design, manufacturing, erection & testing of structural portion of the crane. The electric hoists are designed in accordance with IS-3938 specifications for wire rope hoist. In the design of components of the crane adequate factor of safety as per relevant class of duty are taken into account wherever applicable.
STEEL: Steel confirming to IS-2062 or equivalent is used in the manufacturing of the crane.
MOTORS: Hoisting, motors are sq. cage type. All motors used in the crane are totally enclosed in dust proof construction either TEFC/TESC with Class-B insulation of reputed Make: BBL/CGL/HINDUSTAN.
BRAKES: Electromagnetic fail to safe type brakes are provided on hoisting / LT motions.
GEAR BOXES: All gear boxes used in the crane are totally enclosed in dust proof construction the gears and pinions are running in oil bath & hence, no external lubrication are required. Gears & pinions are all precision hob cut helical/spur gears having hardness up to 250 to 300 BHN made from forged/rolled steel. The shafts and pinions are rotate in antifriction type ball/roller bearings. Use of totally enclosed gear boxes are desirable in view of the increase transmission efficiency & longer gear life.
OPERATION: Pendent push button station is suspended from one end of the bridge at a suitable height from the floor level with step down voltage of 110V. Limit switches are provided on all motions to prevent over traveling.
HOIST UNIT: The hoist is very compact with elegant appearance. Hoist with modular construction which simplifies repairs & maintenance. The various parts like motors, gear box, control panel etc. are easily accessible. The hoist gear train is with precision hob cut helical gears having hardness up to 250 to 300 BHN, running on antifriction type ball/roller bearings housed in sheet metal cover with gasket & lubricated with oil bath lubrications. The rope drum is made from M.S. pipe having machined cut spiral grooves & mounted on self-aligning ball bearings. The guide is made from ferrous material will be provided for perfect sitting of rope drum grooves. Electromagnetic fail to safe type brakes are provided on hoist motion which ensure perfect safety even in case of power failure. Limit switches are provided on hoisting & over lowering.
